CHRISTMAS PARTY REPORT
Everyone had a grand time at our Xmas vegan sausage sizzle this year. More than seventy friends and activists had a fantastic time with a tonne of food to eat, beer, wine and bevvies with even a bit of a sing-song at the end. Lee Rhiannon from the Greens Party spoke to us about this disastrous Bill for shooting Game that they are trying to push through in Parliament at the moment. More on that later - we will need every spare set of letter-writing hands to combat that. Our very own webmaster extraordinaire moonlighted as second-in-command BBQ chef, as indeed did our own Director, Cath Farlow - beer in one hand and spatula in the other, set a cracking pace in getting those soy sausages out to the madding crowd. Claudette Vaughan was shameless in advertising our new **Brand new** vegan cookbook, "The Animal Liberation Cookbook". Not too late to order your copy now for Xmas (contact: oink@animal-lib.org.au) Thanks must go to Claudette for not only organising the 'do', but providing the food too!! Lee Rhiannon drew the Raffle and here are the results: 1st Prize: A $200.00 voucher (books or CD's) went to Margaret Herbert 2nd Prize: A deluxe vegan hamper went to Effy at Tempe 3rd Prize: Another deluxe vegan hamper went to David Mills 4th Prize: A Years subscription went to Sandra at Baulkham Hills 5th Prize: SOYA KING snacks, milk and Tofu hamper went to L.Henry 6th Prize: An Organic Hamper went to Mel in Sydney.
We hope you are all not "raffled" out yet as we will be starting a brand new one - with all new prizes - for our ARNA campaign, early February. So watch this space for more info coming later. We, at Animal Liberation NSW would like to wish our members and friends a very merry cruelty-free Xmas and a Happy and Safe New Year.
